Project positioning: Build a leading integrated platform for relay protection testing and high-voltage testing in China, meet the full life cycle testing needs of 500kV and above ultra-high voltage equipment, and support the reliability verification of new power system equipment.
Core technical solutions
1. Relay protection test system
Fully digital simulation test platform:
Based on RTDS (real-time digital simulation system), an AC/DC hybrid power grid model is built to simulate complex fault scenarios (such as high-resistance grounding and subsynchronous oscillation).
Supports compatibility testing of protection devices from multiple manufacturers (NARI, Sifang, ABB), with an action time error of ≤0.5ms.
Intelligent closed-loop test:
Integrated AI algorithm automatically generates test cases, covering protection logic, fixed value verification and fault recording analysis, and improves test efficiency by 50%.
2. Construction of high-voltage test station
UHV test capability:
1100kV power frequency withstand voltage test system: output capacity 5000kVA, partial discharge ≤5pC (background noise control ≤2pC).
±800kV DC withstand voltage and partial discharge test device, suitable for converter transformers, DC wall bushings and other equipment.
Environmental simulation test:
High altitude test chamber: simulates an extreme environment of 5,500 meters above sea level and a temperature of -40℃~+50℃ to verify the insulation performance of the equipment.
Salt spray corrosion test system: evaluates the corrosion resistance level of GIS equipment shell in coastal areas (in accordance with IEC 60068-2-52 standard).
3. Digital management platform
Test data center:
Integrate LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) to achieve automatic generation of test reports and equipment health status rating (A/B/C/D four categories).
Remote collaboration system:
Supports video review by equipment manufacturers and power grid companies, live broadcast of the entire test process and data sharing.
Project implementation highlights
1. Localization breakthrough:
High-voltage test equipment (impulse voltage generator, voltage divider) has achieved 100% domestic production to replace imports, reducing costs by 40%.
Independently develop relay protection test software to break the technology monopoly of foreign manufacturers.
2. Green test technology:
A 1.2MW photovoltaic + energy storage system is installed on the roof of the test station to meet 30% of the electricity demand in the station and reduce CO₂ emissions by 800 tons per year.
SF6 gas recovery and purification device (recovery rate ≥ 99.9%), to eliminate greenhouse gas emissions during the test process.
3. Extreme conditions verification capability:
Successfully completed the 5500m altitude simulation test of the world's first ±800kV flexible DC converter valve, providing data support for the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau project.
The local discharge positioning accuracy of GIS equipment is ≤0.5 meters, and the false alarm rate is<1 time/1,000 times.
